Three Apps Included
Perfect Primary School App Learning Bundle
My Perfect Primary School App Learning Bundle contains three apps created by a company called Magmentis. Magmentis has produced three fantastic educational apps for elementary, specifically for primary and preschool children. These three apps: Complete the Words; Smudge Compass and Direction; and Writing Numbers all can be used to enhance students’ Literacy skills.
The first app, Complete the Words is a wonderful app that helps the young user understand concepts such as Shapes, Letters and Words. In the concept area of Shapes, the child has to drag the image to the word and then there is positive or negative audio reinforcement. The layout is simple and very user-friendly. Also, the words are at a Grade One or Two level, which is wonderful for those educators that are looking for independent Literacy iPad stations for their classroom. The second concept area is that Letters, where you need to drag and drop the letter into the right place. The third concept is Words, where the user is dragging and dropping words. All three of these areas are great independent or parent/educator assisted activities. Often it is challenging to find an app that is user-friendly and brings independence to a young user. In addition, this is a wonderful Literacy app for Primary educators to use with the whole class as well, at the carpet or with a projector.
The second app, is Smudge Compass and Direction, which is perfect for Primary students who are trying to grasp the concept of directional signs of North, South, East and West. Not only can this app be used for Social Studies concepts, but also for Literacy concepts. This Map Skills app is fantastic as a tool to introduce and reinforce compass directions. The first activity, allows the child to use his/her finger to show where Smudge the dog has gone and the second activity is where Cecily the cat has come from, by looking at the paw prints. Some students have difficulty memorizing compass directions and also learn the Literacy side to reading compass directions. This app brings fun into any young user’s journey in learning these important Geographical concepts.
The third app is called Writing Numbers. Once again this is a fabulous app helping young users to feel confident and successful on a mobile device. Some preschool and Primary students tend to feel insecure with their capabilities with writing. This app helps a child feel successful because the app is simple, fun and shows an arrow where the child must start to draw the number. The app uses numbers up to 10. This app is easy to manipulate the virtual screen because the young user can use their fingers or a iPad pen to work with this app. Which is wonderful for any student at any level too! This app can also be worked with independently by a child without a parent/educator assisting.
Enjoy these three apps, as especially for those educators out there who are interested in independent iPad stations in their class. These three would be superb for any parent who would like their Primary child to have educational apps that can be worked at independently.
